Post Office

Each spring, the 6-7s build a post office from the ground up. The children visit a post office to interview postal workers, sew mailbags, construct a mailbox complete with a special key, decide on the price of stamps and stationery, and design postcards. The entire school takes part in writing and mailing letters, which the 6-7s process and deliver, each one taking on a job to make the system work.
