Carmine Branagan

Carmine joined MCS as Co-Head of School in July and is the parent of an MCS alumni in the Class of 1992. Having seen the impact and value of an MCS education she believes that perhaps now more than ever our society needs MCS.

Carmine brings a depth of experience in nonprofit management having most recently led the American Craft Council, the National Academy Museum & School and the New York Zen Center for Contemplative Care. Previously she was the Director of Institutional Advancement at Convent of the Sacred Heart in NYC and Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart in Miami, FL. She served as the VP of Marketing and Public relations for the New World Symphony and Sr VP for Publishing at the National Audubon Society. She began her career at Smithsonian and Ms. magazines.

These experiences have honed expertise in strategic planning, fundraising, board development and facilitation, marketing, and communication.

“I have always worked for an organization whose mission I truly believed in. MCS holds a very special place in my heart. I am truly honored to partner with Maiya Jackson and to help lead MCS forward.”
