Daniel Altschuler '96

Daniel Altschuler ‘96 is a community organizer, political scientist, and writer. He is currently the Managing Director of Make the Road Action and the Director of Civic Engagement and Research at Make the Road New York (MRNY), the largest progressive grassroots immigrant-led organization in New York State. The organizations work on issues of workers' rights; immigrant and civil rights; environmental and housing justice; justice for transgender, gender nonconforming, intersex, and queer (TGNCIQ) people; and educational justice.
 
Daniel received his undergraduate degree from Amherst College and holds a doctorate in Politics and a Masters in Development Studies from the University of Oxford, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar.
