Class:  7th Grade

Our son, Joaquin Meyer is in the 7th grade - Norte. He has attended MCS for 9 years, since the 4/5's. There are so many things that we love about MCS and really can't imagine him attending any other school. While MCS will go through a period of transition as we partner with Casa Laxmi, the heart and soul of MCS will not change; the community of families, staff and students will not allow MCS to deviate from it's mission. MCS has laid a foundation for students to become a critical thinkers, dreamers and to understand their capacity for impacting the world. While we are sad that some families no longer believe that the MCS community can support the needs of their child, we cannot imagine Joaquin losing his farm, not participating in the frigid MLK March, no longer participating in the Model Congress and being asked to attend another school where he will not be seen and heard in the same way as he is at MCS.
