In Kindergarten, we chose MCS for Milan. When researching schools, I read Begin with a Dream by Gus Trowbridge and, having worked in education for years, I was deeply drawn to the mission of MCS. Ernie likes to say I made him think there was a choice, but in truth, my mind was already made up.

By 4th grade, Milan chose MCS for herself. From that moment on, our family has been fully committed to ensuring she graduates from this "special, magical school with the Farm in the Catskills."

My work in education has given me the privilege of visiting classrooms across the country, yet I have never encountered another school quite like MCS. The way this community nurtures its children, the dedication of parents and caregivers, and the freedom students have to be their authentic selves—not someday, but right now—is truly extraordinary.

We came for Milan. We are staying for her and for so much more. And even after she graduates, I look forward to continuing to invest in the MCS community for years to come.
