MCS gave me a core set of values that I will take with me through the rest of my life and use to guide my decision making. It has given me a sense of what’s right and wrong and taught me how to tackle things that are difficult. It has given me a second family and a home away from home.
Manhattan Country School students gain admission to highly selective high schools, very often their first choice selections. They attend a variety of schools throughout the New York City area, including public and independent day schools andboarding schools.
The high school placement process begins in the seventh grade when parents meet with our director of high school placement. The director works with students and families throughout the selection and application process. High School admissions directors often describe MCS students as “bright,” “dynamic,” having a “strong sense of self” and “passionate advocates for social justice.”
