This weekend, Manhattan Country School Farm Director John McDaniel will present at the 6th Annual Farm-Based Education National Gathering in Concord, MA. MCS Farm faculty members Cathy Cammer and Annie Pevear will also attend.
In his presentation, John will share some of the thinking he and the MCS class of 2016 did about “The MCS Farm of the Future.” He’ll lead a discussion about some of the scenarios MCS has been exploring as we move forward in doubling our student enrollment and the impact this growth will have on our own farm-based education program.
The gathering, organized by the Farm-Based Education Network, draws between 300 and 500 attendees from the United State and abroad each year. The event provides educators with the opportunity to “share skills and resources, build relationships and celebrate the vibrant field of farm-based education.”
