Offered Monday through Thursday, MCS’ thriving Afterschool program provides families with extended-day coverage through a wealth of enrichment classes for Lower and Upper School students. From African Drumming classes to Minecraft to Crocheting, students in Afterschool learn by doing—a Manhattan Country School credo.
A hallmark of MCS’ Afterschool program is mixed-age grouping, where children of different grades interact, learn from each other and form friendships through the program.
There are two semesters of Afterschool each academic year, with no gap between semesters to ensure continued extended-day coverage.
Monday through Thursday
3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.: Snack and supervised free play
3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.: Enrichment classes
5:30 p.m.: Dismissal
6:00 p.m.: Last pick up
Rates for Afterschool classes are kept reasonable to allow many families to take advantage of our enrichment classes.
MCS offers emergency childcare to accommodate last-minute changes in parents’ and caregivers’ schedules. Those in need of emergency childcare should contact the afterschool director on the day they need coverage. The fee is $40 per day.
