MCS Activism Students Choose their 2021-2022 Campaign

By Nassim Zerriffi, 7th and 8th Grade History and Activism Teacher
The Activism Club is excited to announce our activism campaign topic for this year! The options that the club researched and proposed included: climate change/animal rights, immigration rights, women's rights, and tax dollars going to war.

The Activism students created and gave presentations for each topic to all of their 7th and 8th grade classmates, who then voted on the topic of their choice. Women’s rights won, receiving almost 50% of the first choice votes. Possible subtopics that the Activism students discussed include: abortion, sexual assault, unfair pay, and dress code.

If you have any resources or suggestions for relating to women's rights or the possible subtopics, please reach out to Nassim.
