Zackary Lee '15

Zack applied and was chosen by MCS to serve as January 2020's MLK March alumni intern. This paid internship opportunity brought him to MCS to work with students, from January 6 through January 20 (the day of the MLK, Jr. Commemorative March). His duties included organizing songbooks, creating signage and most importantly, sharing his firsthand experience to help eighth-grade students with their speeches.

Zack is currently a student at Oberlin College. He previously attended SUNY Binghamton, having entered with 64 college credits from Bard High School Early College. His coursework so far includes Africana studies, Sociology, Economics, Statistics, Middle Eastern History, Art History, and Cinema. At the time he last updated us, his major was undeclared.

A former PSAL Manhattan Boys Borough Championships (first place in Triple Jump, second place in Long Jump), Zack competes on the Oberlin track team. At Binghamton, he participated in multiple events organized by BSU, ASO, College Progressives, Binghamton PLOT and more. Many in response to the injustices perpetrated by the Broome County Police and to bigoted incidents on campus and in the community.
