Manhattan Country School's 7th and 8th grade classes (Norte and Sur) made their first trip of the new year to the Farm over the last two weeks. For the Norte class it was the first week back to school after Winter Break. These first trips of the year are filled with students catching up and sharing stories from vacations or holidays. What better place to do this than at the Farm on a hike or the dinner table. Read more

The MCS Afterschool Program and Broadway Bound with Kate Roth present "The Greatest Showman" for one night only, this Thursday, January 23. Come see MCS students shine in this show written, directed, and choreographed by Kate Roth, songs by Ben J. The MCS Support Team will host a morning discussion with families on Friday, January 24. We will inform parents about how the Support Team partners with families and teachers to provide support and recommendations for children's learning and development. Please join us to learn more about the processes that are in place at MCS and to share your feedback. The meeting will be in the 5th grade classroom from 8:45-9:45 a.m. Coffee and refreshments will be served.  Read more
Please join us on Tuesday, February 4 at 9:00 a.m. for the Upper School Assembly with filmmaker and friend of MCS, Yoruba Richen. Yoruba is a documentary filmmaker whose work has been featured on PBS, "New York Times" Op Doc, "Frontline Digital", "New York Magazine’s The Cut", "The Atlantic" and "Field of Vision". Her latest film “The Green Book: Guide to Freedom” aired on The Smithsonian Channel in February 2019. Read more

Returning this year: Manhattan Country School will host a Spring Break Camp in March for MCS students in the 4-5s through 9-10s only. During Spring Break Camp, students will broaden their MCS experience by being immersed in fun and engaging activities aligned with the school’s mission and values. The camp runs for one week, from March 16 to March 20, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Applications for Spring Break Camp are available now. Read more
