Fifth Grade students hosted students from the Children's Workshop School and Central Park East II to kick off the selection process for the MLK Living the Dream Book Award.

The two 8-9s classes had the responsibility of harvesting the last of the MCS Farm's fruits and vegetables of the season. They also began to put the gardens to bed. Vigorously, the students cleared two beds full of sweet potatoes, bushels of carrots and the last of the beets. Sweet potatoes are a bit tricky to pull from the soil as they grow down vertically and hang on tight. Read more
Students in the 9-10s study the history of immigration in New York City and in the Catskills. During their November Farm trip in Nature Class, the kids explored the Farm’s forest, meadows and pastures looking for historic signs of early settlers. While reading the land, the kids discussed why people chose the Catskill Mountains as a place to settle. Read more
MCS families applying for a 4-5s or 5-6s sibling before the December 1 deadline will benefit from priority playgroup sessions. We have set aside two special sibling-only playgroups on December 6 and December 13. In order to participate in these priority visits, please make sure to submit your application by November 15.​ Read more

Parent Visiting Day 2019 was a blast! We hope that everyone enjoyed the sampling of our curriculum first hand. Students were thrilled to host their families and show them a day in the life of MCS.
