Farm Trips will resume in January 2019
If you know any families interested in a place-based, progressive education, please refer them to the MCS admissions page before the 2019-2020 MCS Admissions Application closes on 11/30/2018!

Accreditation is a comprehensive year-long process that members of New York State Association of Independent Schools (NYSAIS) undergo every ten years. A narrative self-study report examines every aspect of the school including governance, administration, the community, and academic programs. For MCS it includes the school and the Farm. Through this "stuffie-counting project" the 6-7's are learning to use raw data to draw larger, objective conclusions that can ultimately be supported by numbers. Read more
For the past two years the MCS administration has supported parents and the PA by holding space for a series of Parent-Led Forms, or PLFs. We began two years ago with two forums, including a screening and discussion of Thirteenth; last year, we were able to provide three forums: How to Raise Feminist Boys, Supporting Diverse Learners, and Food Justice: It’s Socio-Political, Environmental, and Cultural Impact. These forums were conceived of and developed by parents, and included workshops, panels of experts, and sharing of resources. Read more
