Manhattan Country School’s annual benefit to support its sliding-scale tuition model
Each year at Big Night Out!, we honor individuals who demonstrate excellence and leadership in progressive education, arts and sciences, social and environmental justice, and community activism with our Living the Dream Mentor Award. This year we are pleased to honor MCS Director Michèle Solá for 33 years of visionary leadership and dedication to Manhattan Country School. Click here to learn more about Michèle.
We are also celebrating the 50th anniversary of our sliding-scale tuition program. This unique model, developed by Frank Roosevelt in 1969, gives families the opportunity to educate their children in an economically, racially and culturally diverse community. However, tuition payments only cover 70% of our annual operating costs, so we depend on the generosity of individuals and organizations who believe in the importance of MCS’ core values of diversity, equity, social justice and sustainability to bridge the gap. If you are interested in joining us at any level, please see below for information about how you can contribute. You can also support us by buying an ad in the Big Night Out! Program Book.
