News Brief: MCS Art Teacher Picked for NPR's Books We Love

Today, NPR published its Books We Love list for 2023 and included Qing, our art teacher, and her book “Rainbow Shopping.” The media outlet reached out to staff and trusted critics and asked them to nominate their favorite books published in 2023. Lisa Yee, author of “Maizy Chen’s Last Chance,” a Newbery Honor Book, National Book Award Finalist, and the winner of the Asian Pacific American Children’s Literature Award, picked “Rainbow Shopping” for Books We Love!
