The December 1 application deadline for the 2022-2023 school year has passed. Applications submitted at this stage of the year will be reviewed on a case by case basis where we have openings and sliding-scale tuition is available. After receiving your application, we will follow up with you if we are able to bring you through the admissions process.
MCS mourns the recent loss of three members of the community:
Sara Wilford, parent of Betsey diBonaventura Brown '77 and Chair of the MCS Board from 1978-1992 , passed away on October 22, 2021. She was a member of the Sarah Lawrence College psychology faculty from 1982 until her retirement in 2015 and director of the Sarah Lawrence Early Childhood Center for more than 20 years. Bell Gale Chevigny, parent of Katy ‘82 and Blue ‘85, passed away on November 28, 2021 at her home in Manhattan. She enjoyed a long career as a professor and writer at Queens College, Sarah Lawrence and SUNY Purchase. Bell also wrote and edited several books, including The Woman and the Myth: Margaret Fuller’s Life and Writings and the anthology Doing Time: Prison Writing in America, among others. Neil M. Salvaggio '87 passed away on December 27, 2021 after a long struggle with leukemia. He worked for The Southampton Press for many years, where he was fondly nicknamed, "The Mayor." He loved to fish and cook, and he enjoyed cultivating his vegetable patch in Riverhead on the North Fork of Long Island. Read more here.
