Surabhi Lal

Surabhi is a parent of a lively and curious MCS student and chose the school because it welcomes children’s curiosity. She is a facilitator, professor, consultant, and storyteller who creates spaces where people feel seen and builds workplace communities where people want to go to work. Using empathy and strategy she guides leaders in creating work cultures built on inclusion, belonging, and learning. Her teaching is focused on management, leadership, and workplace effectiveness and she is currently pursuing her PhD in Leadership and Change where her research is focused on belonging and culture. Surabhi brings her commitment to a better future of work and stronger communities to her roles as an Adjunct Professor at NYU Wagner, founder of SL Collaborative Ventures LLC, creator and host of SIPS & Leadership, CliftonStrengths Coach, and as a board member at Luminary, Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work, and Manhattan Country School. She served as Farm Festival co-chair and is committed to strengthening MCS’s vibrant community.
