Virtual Farm Festival
Farm Festival 2020 is still on! Join us on October 17 at 4:00 p.m, zoom link to come! Although we cannot convene our annual community-building and fundraising event on West 85th Street this year, we will still provide a fun-filled event featuring a raffle, auction, and “live” entertainment for all ages! Revenue from Farm Festival is critical to supporting annual operating expenses not met by income from tuition.
This year’s Farm Festival will include:
- A raffle with prizes that include $1,966 in cash, an Apple iPad Mini, MCS Farm Basket of goodies and a $50 gift certificate to Sister’s Uptown Bookstore. Click here to purchase raffle tickets.
- An online auction featuring virtual services, experiences and unique handmade items! The online auction runs from October 15 -26.
- Music and entertainment provided by MCS parents, alumni and staff.
WHAT IS THE RAFFLE?
We raise more than $25,000 in raffle ticket sales each year. Our goal this year is to raise even more! Please note that raffle tickets can only be purchased online this year.
WHAT DOES THE FARM FESTIVAL RAFFLE SUPPORT?
Income from raffle sales directly supports annual operating expenses including teacher salaries and benefits. One of the ways MCS' commitment to equity and diversity in education is realized is through our sliding-scale tuition program which enables all MCS families to educate their children as equal members of an economically, racially and culturally diverse community. Our equitable financial model requires us to raise more than 20% of our annual operating expenses from philanthropic support.
WHAT DO YOU NEED ME TO DO?
We ask each family to make it a goal to sell at least five raffle books per family.
The raffle has always been a critical source of revenue for the Farm Festival that is still an effective and meaningful way our whole community can help to support the fundraising goals of this annual event by remote!

HOW DO I GET RAFFLE TICKETS?
Raffle tickets can only be purchased online. We recommend that you share the link with friends and family via email, text, DM...Please contact the Advancement Office if you have any questions.
