Nadiya has 21 years of experience in corporate and public accounting, and concurrently, 12 years experience as an agent/broker in the NYC real estate market, and 8 years in parenting. Her career includes leadership positions in financial reporting and planning at publicly held companies including National Grid, MarketAxess Holdings, Inc, Constellation Energy/Exelon, and public accounting at firms including KPMG LLP and Cohn Reznick. Her interests include women’s leadership, and her current entrepreneurial projects revolve around finding creative solutions for women returning to work post maternity and creating workspaces that are supportive to work and life/infant care. She is also involved in a start up investment advisory firm as a strategic and financial advisor to the growing business. She has 3 kids, 8, 6 and 3 to keep things from getting too predictable.
Nadiya’s a proud MCS parent of MCS students in the classes of 2027 and 2028. Within a few weeks of joining MCS in 2017, she attended her first PA meeting with the new baby. She was class rep for the 4-5s in 2018-2019 when her son Vir started in the 4-5s, and class rep for the 6-7s in 2019-2020 for the 6-7s which hosted a very successful Farm Festival in 2019 and volunteered on the Parent Fundraising Committee. She is currently a class rep for the 7-8s class, and a consulting trustee to the Board working on the Finance and Audit Committees.
