Caroline Cotter has over 15 years experience as a nonprofit fundraiser and manager in human rights organizations. She has been Deputy Director of Development at the ACLU of New York (NYCLU) for five years. Before that she was Senior Development Officer at the International Women’s Health Coalition (IWHC) and Program Coordinator at CREA, a feminist women’s human rights organization based in New Delhi. Cotter taught at Little Red School House and City & Country for six years after receiving a Masters in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Bank Street College. She earned a B.S. with honors from Harvard in Social Anthropology; her thesis was an ethnography focused on a progressive public school in Cambridge, MA. She has been trustee at MCS since 2014, chaired the Board Development Committee from 2015-2017, served on the Farm Committee and Campaign Council, and was a member of the new Director Search Committee in 2019.
