Children's Books in Difficult Times: An Evening with Jay Fung, the MCS Librarian & Community Share
Our incredible librarian and in-house musician Jay Fung will talk about reading with our children - and children reading on their own - during difficult times. He will share some of his favorite books.
After Jay presents, we'll have our MCS Community Share. What is something you'd like to make happen but just need to bounce the idea around, or just need some support? Share those ideas now! Is there something happening at your workplace, or in one of your outside communities that you think MCS families would like to know about, you can share that now. Or, if you'd just like to speak to this moment in time, we can share thoughts and concerns about coping with all that's happening right now. Please RSVP and sign up for childcare here.
Example of early suggestions shared include:
- "MCS Podcast"
- "Knit & Politic Circle"
- "Family Movie Night Off-Site"
- "COE P.R. Disaster Relief Extended Family Clothing Drive"
- "Parent Talent Showcase"
- "Revisiting the Women’s March": Photo Exhibit and testimonials of MCS families that marched on that historical day.
Cocktails and Mingling - 6:30pm-7:00pm
Join us for drinks and finger foods prepared by the MCS Kitchen. Music will be played.
