Farm Festival would not be possible without MCS parents - whether it’s volunteering your time, donating and soliciting items for the event, raffle or auction, spreading the word about the event, or attending. You will hear about all of the ways Farm Festival depends on our school community in the coming weeks. For now, let's focus on some of the areas that bring in the most revenue.
By now, all families should have received a raffle packet. If not, check inside your child’s backpack. Families are asked to try to sell a minimum of 10 raffle books. You may also sell raffle books online by sharing this link: https://tinyurl.com/2018FFRaffle.
Please note: Sharing the online raffle link with family and friends will save you time having to fill out all of those raffle tickets!
This year's raffle prizes include $1,500 cash, an Apple watch, a $200 gift card to Le Pain Quotidien, a Whole Foods Market gift basket, and a signed copy of a "Wicked The Musical" CD. In addition, we will hold drawings for smaller prizes like t-shirts, food/activity tickets, etc., in the weeks leading up to Farm Festival. Stay tuned.
Each family is asked to donate or solicit the donation of at least one auction item, experience or service. Click this link for the online auction donation form. The link to our auction site is: biddingforgood.com/mcs. You will be able to start bidding beginning on October 16. Please share the link with family and friends.
In the coming weeks, you will hear from your Class Reps about specific items your class is being asked to contribute – whether it’s a specific food item and/or volunteering at a specific station. Thank you in advance for your generous support.
The Farm Festival Marketplace will feature the Farm Stand (fresh produce and baked goods), a handmade goods table (knitted, crafted and other made items), a Children’s Boutique (clothing and shoes), and a books and games table (new and gently used books, board games and stationery).
We are asking all of you to contribute – whether you are a baker, a jam maker, have gently used clothes, books, games or crafted items, or have connections to these items.
Please note: Material donations will be collected from October 9-19. Farm Stand food donations will be accepted on Friday, October 19.

Farm Festival is an annual community-building and fundraising event that requires the creativity, generosity and collaboration of ALL MCS parents. The day features a raffle, games and rides, arts and crafts, entertainment and food. All revenue supports our sliding-scale tuition program.
