Farm Festival 2019: Everything You Need To Know
Farm Festival is TWO DAYS AWAY! Thank you for the various ways many of you have already contributed. MCS alumni and former parents can help even more with the following:
Please volunteer for a shift this Saturday. There are still some open shifts for the grill, drinks/dessert, security, food plating, toddler garden/crayon recycling center, carnival booth, raffle and more.
Alumni from the classes of 2017-2019 are also needed to serve as floor captains during self-led tours at the Alumni Reception from 3:30-5:00pm. If you graduated in one of those three years, click here to volunteer.
The online auction is now live! But there is still time to submit items.
Thank you to everyone who has already donated to the auction! We have great items this year -- from an Eames Chair, cooking class at Eataly, tickets to Trevor Noah, live theater + meet-and-greet with Bobby Cannavale, and weekend trips to the MCS Farm, and tickets to the Knicks, Giants, Rangers, Yankees and US Open.
Help us reach our goal of making the auction a success:
- Donate an item here! Need help? Download the solicitation letter template and donation form here.
- The auction is live from October 15-24. Check out the offerings here and forward the auction to your networks

Let's Make Zero-Waste
Help us reach our goal of reducing landfill trash. Bring reusable water bottles and travel mugs to fill at the water stations and reusable canvas bags for your marketplace finds! We will not have any disposable cups or mugs at Farm Festival. You must bring your own or you can purchase one.
Music and Games Line-Up
This year, we’ll be kicking off performances on the Main Stage with land acknowledgments recognizing the indigenous people who once inhabited the land where we are gathering and music by Red Hawk followed by singer-songwriter Morley, the incredible Low Mentality and more. The Acoustic Stage will feature music by Hueco Tanks, Ricky Quiñones, tap dancing by Kazunori Kumagai, story time with our very own librarian, Jay, and a children’s drum circle with Michael Mustafa Ulmer. And that’s not all! Guitar players, banjo players and singers will be roaming the street ready to serenade you as you order popcorn, chat with friends or pose in the photo booth!
MCS 6th Graders are literally making the fun! They've built several new games including Hamburger and Fry Toss, Bowling for Hay and a Toy Tractor Race. We’ll also be getting down with Extreme Twister, racing Giant Trikes, sweating over Jumbo Jenga, taking on the Cup Stacking Challenge and, of course, Shooting Hoops and trying our luck at Farm Festival classics like the Lollipop Toss.
For the youngest among us, we’re introducing a Toddler Garden. In this crawl-friendly zone, kids can enjoy a coloring table, toys, blocks, board books and even a tent to play in.
See you this Saturday!
