Manhattan Country School will continue MCS En Casa, our distance learning program, for the remainder of the school year.

Curriculum Night and Welcome Back Parents' Reception

Curriculum Night and Welcome Back Parents' Reception

Sunday, September 15, 2019

This year Curriculum Night will be held on Thursday, September 26, from 6–7 p.m. In a change from past years, we will not be having a reception portion of the evening. Instead, classroom presentations will begin at 6 p.m. sharp. Please do not bring any food or drink to share to your child’s classroom on Curriculum Night. This change reflects the added demand on our families’ time as we ask for your participation in the Head of School search process later this month. The 8th grade High school meeting is now at 5:00 p.m. in the Library. Details to follow.

Curriculum at MCS has a broad definition and Curriculum Night is designed to acquaint families with their children’s classrooms and teachers’ plans for the year.

You will receive a more detailed note from the school prior to Curriculum Night. Please review that note and its attachments in advance of September 26.

Unfortunately, with so many classrooms and other spaces in use on Curriculum Nights, we are unable to provide childcare.

Welcome Back Parents' Reception

We invite all parents to join us on Thursday, September 19 for our Welcome Back Parents’ Reception at 6:30 p.m. and the Opening Parents’ Association Meeting at 7 p.m. Childcare will be provided. Please note: this event will start at 6:30 p.m., not 6 p.m. as it states on the printed calendar. Please check the online calendar for the most up to date information.
