Admissions
How to Apply
Apply to 5th through 8th grade
5th through 8th grades constitute MCS’s Upper School.
The following steps are required to complete the admissions process. All necessary links and forms will be accessible in your admissions checklist on your applicant portal.
We offer a number of ways to get to know us: Virtual Information Sessions, an Open House, and in-person tours. You can sign up for a live Virtual Information Session with Admissions. In-person tours are available in your parent portal once you create your account via this Inquiry.
Applications for the 2023-24 school year are available. Fill out this Inquiry to create your account. You will then have access to your admissions checklist to help you keep track of steps in the process and due dates, and you can sign up for in-person tours.
MCS does not have a financial aid program, rather, we operate on a sliding scale tuition model. The FFW is what allows MCS to calculate each family’s tuition fee, based on their financial profile. Each family’s tuition fee is detailed on their enrollment contract if and when an admissions acceptance is issued.Families who opt for the maximum tuition fee should indicate that on the FFW as well.
The student interview is a way for us to engage with your child, get to know them, and assess their skills via conversations involving problem-solving challenges. Interviews will be by invitation once we have received and processed applications. We encourage families to submit their applications early in the process to allow for greater flexibility in scheduling.
Please request that your child’s current teacher(s) fill out the Math and English Teacher Confidential Reports. You can send the requests to your child’s teacher via the checklist in your admissions portal.
We will need a copy of your child's current and previous year report card, as well as student work samples in Math and English.
We recommend that you submit the requests after November 15 so that your child’s teachers have had an opportunity to get to know them.
