Steps to Apply

List of 9 items.

  • Visit MCS

We offer a number of ways to get to know us: Virtual Information Sessions, an Open House, and in-person tours. We recommend at least one in-person visit during the application process.
You can sign up for a live Virtual Information Session with Admissions.
In-person tours are available in your parent portal once you create your account via this Inquiry.
  • Submit an Application | Dec. 1 deadline

Applications for the 2024-25 school year will be available the first week of September. Fill out this Inquiry to create your account. You will then have access to your admissions checklist to help you keep track of steps in the process and due dates, and you can sign up for in-person tours.
  • Sliding Scale Tuition Application | Dec. 1 deadline

MCS does not have a financial aid program, rather, we operate on a sliding scale tuition model.
  • Student Assessment & Parent Interview | Oct. - Jan.

The student assessment is a way for us to get to know applicants and assess their academic skills. While students are visiting, parent(s)/caregiver(s) will meet with a member of the Admissions Team for an interview.
Visits can be self-scheduled once a family has submitted their application.
Appointments are available from October to early January but scheduling becomes tight later in the admissions season, so we recommend submitting your application and scheduling your appointment early in the process. We will not be able to add additional slots later.
  • Teacher Evaluation Form | January 11 deadline

Please request that your child’s current teacher(s) fill out the Teacher Confidential Report for 5th-8th grade applicants. You can send the requests to your child’s teacher via the checklist in your admissions portal. We recommend that you submit the request after November 15 so that teachers have had an opportunity to get to know your student.

Teacher Confidentials must be submitted directly from the teacher(s) to MCS and must be completed by January 11 at the latest.

We will need a copy of your child's current and previous year report card, as well as corrected student work samples in Math and English. You can upload these from your admissions checklist in your parent portal. The deadline is also January 11.
  • Upload School Reports | Jan. 11 deadline

Legible copies of school reports from last year and current school year must be uploaded to the admissions checklist.
  • Student work samples | Jan. 11 deadline

We require a copy of a corrected, graded English essay the student has completed this year.
A copy of a recent corrected math exercise is also required.
We recommend sending work samples in December or early January so they represent the student's current work.
