Ways to Give
As an independent school, we finance our operations with no help from federal, state, or local government funding. Although 70% of our income comes from student tuition, that revenue alone cannot sustain our program. We rely heavily on the generous contributions of parents, alumni, friends, corporations, and private foundations to meet immediate and long term expenses.
Ways to Give
We welcome contributions in a variety of forms. If you have questions about how to make a gift, or want more information, please contact Director of Development Akemi Kochiyama at (212) 348-0952 ext. 283 or akochiyama@manhattancountryschool.org.
As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, all outright gifts of cash or stock made to MCS are 100% tax deductible to the extent provided by law.
Cash
We appreciate any contributions of cash, credit card, check, or money order.
Stocks/Appreciated Securities
Making a stock gift helps the donor avoid applicable capital-gains taxes. For more information, please contact the Development Office at (212) 348-0952 ext. 283 or e-mail us at support_mcs@manhattancountryschool.org.
Matching Gifts
Many companies match the philanthropic contributions of their employees on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis. Matching Gift Forms are usually available from your company’s personnel office. Simply complete your portion of the form and mail it along with your gift. To find out if your company matches gifts, please call the Development Office at (212) 348-0952 ext. 283 or e-mail us at support_mcs@manhattancountryschool.org.
