The annual Farm Festival raffle is an important fundraising effort for Manhattan Country School. All proceeds support the school’s sliding-scale tuition program. Each MCS family is asked to sell a minimum of 10 raffle ticket books either in person or by sharing the link to purchase tickets online.
This year’s raffle features the following prizes:
- $1,500 cash
- DJI Phantom Advanced Drone
- Go-Pro Hero Camera
- $100 Book Culture Gift Card
Students and parents have come up with some creative ways to sell Farm Festival raffle tickets through the years, including holding a sidewalk bake sale and offering free cookies to those who purchase raffle tickets, and sending emails to family and friends to encourage them to buy tickets.
Ticket buyers aren’t the only winners. There are prizes for classes that sell the most raffle tickets. Each Lower School class that sells 150 books or more wins a pizza party for their class. The Upper School class that sells the most raffle tickets wins an indoor pool party during their winter Farm trip.
Tickets were distributed to families earlier this month. Additional books are available in the MCS lobby during drop off and from the Advancement Office (Room 110) throughout the day. Tickets may be sold online until Friday, October 15 and can be sold in person up until the 3 p.m. drawing at Farm Festival.
You can follow Farm Festival raffle ticket sale progress on the Raffle Tracker on display in the MCS lobby. Many thanks to MCS parents Jaime and Jonathan and their son for creating the beautiful replica of the tree swing at the MCS Farm.
