The academic program at Manhattan Country School is comprehensive, distinctive, and highly respected. At the heart of our dynamic, vibrant curriculum is the belief that the world is our classroom. Young students visit the homes of their peers to better understand and celebrate cultural diversity. At our farm in upstate New York, children spend part of the year not just learning about the environment but living sustainably, in intimate connection with the Earth. Back in the classroom, small groups enable students to develop close connections with their teachers and with each other. Students learn to be responsible to themselves and to their communities in an atmosphere where they can consistently recognize their own potential and work toward it.
