High School Placement
Manhattan Country School students attend a wide range of high schools, including independent day and boarding and the specialized public schools, such as Bronx High School of Science, Stuyvesant High School and LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts.
Beginning in 7th grade, a comprehensive counseling program helps prepare students for a transition to high school, which begins with a parent conference with our Placement Director. Students are assisted throughout the selection and application process. Eighth graders attend a weekly class, where they practice writing essays and interview representatives from visiting high schools.
