Manhattan Country School is happy to welcome Joe Paine, assistant cook, to the MCS community. Joe began on Monday, October 17, just two days after moving to New York City from North Haven, Maine.
Joe is an experienced cook who grew up working in restaurants in and around Portland, Maine. He most recently worked with
Food Program Coordinator Amanda Hallowell and Head Cook Emilie Esders at Nebo Lodge, Amanda’s inn and restaurant in Maine. He graduated from the University of Maine Farmington with a degree in English Literature in 2015, and spent the last year on a solo cycling trip from Maine to California, and teaching skiing to kids ages two to 15.
“We are looking forward to having Joe's help with the food program here at MCS and are confident you will find him to be an engaged, enthusiastic member of the community,” says Amanda.
