The Fifth Floor activism project began with education and fundraising at home and culminated with a trip to West Virginia for a week of programming. In West Virginia, we participated in community service projects, cultural connections, outdoor activities and “mountain appreciation” and a full day lobbying/”Teach In” with activists.

Spring is an exciting time at MCS as students and teachers display culminating projects throughout the building and enjoy the warmer weather on field trips around the city.

Donve’ Deacon is an education student at the University of Pretoria in South Africa. She completed a teaching practicum at Manhattan Country School in January. She spent much of her time in the 4-5s class, but visited all classrooms and attended school-wide events.
